Installation

This chapter describes the installation of a Vallox ventilation unit.

Installation and setup should only be carried out by a qualified specialist. Electrical installations and connections must only be carried out by an electrician and in compliance with local regulations.

Check the contents of the package before installation and ensure that all parts are in good condition. Store the product in a dry place (indoors).

Check the dimensions and weight of the product from the technical specification of the unit.

The ventilation unit must be installed in a dry location where the temperature remains above +10°C. When the unit is installed without an enclosure, the location must be chosen so that the noise of the unit does not cause any disturbance. Suitable locations include storage premises, technical spaces, and false ceilings.

Avoid mounting the unit on a hollow, echoing partition wall or on a bedroom wall, or prevent the conduction of sound.

Note:

The whole length of the outdoor air duct to the unit and the exhaust air duct from the unit must be insulated using closed cell insulation.

Note:

The ventilation unit must be installed so that it can be connected to a LAN cable. The LAN cable must, for its part, be connectible to a router.
